I know I know that title! But the novel follows a young Nikki and a motley crew of Widows as they look out for one another through drama, mystery, and romance.
The most interesting thing about this book is that there are no archetypes here. No one is flawless beyond reproach and no one is flawed beyond redemption. I found myself caring and not caring for any combination of Roy, Celestial, and Andre.
The the book sells itself as Australian middle-aged Bridget Jones, but the first half reads as Big Little Lies-lite.
